Mariusz Stawarski (1961) A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. In the mid-1980’s he began to participate in international cartoon contests in Poland, Belgium and Turkey. He has received many distinctions and awards, including the Grand Prix of Satyrykon ’98, Second Prize '2014 and the Second Prize at Aydin Dogan Vakfi in Turkey in 2005. Together with Marek Stokowski he co-wrote the book Dreams for Adults and Children. In 1999 he received an award for his illustrations for this book from the Polish section of the IBBY.
