Finnish consortium awarded EUR 5 million grant for military-grade 5G and 6G research
The Finnish defence ministry has awarded EUR 4.8 million (USD 5.6 milion) to a consortium led by the University of Oulu to develop 5G and 6G technologies for military defence applications in the Arctic. The Arctic 6G Systems Testing and Development Programme is funded by the Ministry of Defence as part of a regional initiative focused on broader government spending in northern Finland.
