Romania’s government is expected to host a conference pointing out the benefits of OECD membership. Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă and OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann will attend an event on the matter in Bucharest on Thursday. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an internatonal organisation including 38 Member states covering some 70 percent of production and trade worldwide. OECD accession candidates include Argentina, Bulgaria, Peru, Brazil, Croatia and Romania.
