Families of the disappeared in the North-East are preparing to publish a series of books documenting their decades-long search for truth, as they convene a conference in Jaffna on 30 August to mark the International Day of the Disappeared. The publications will record the petitions, meetings, protests and personal losses endured by families who have spent years seeking answers about the fate of their missing loved ones.
