[Exclusive] ‘More than $1,000 per child’: Park Chung-hee’s Korea ignored Belgium’s calls for action on adoption profiteering

A tranche of records from 1974-1981 acquired by the Hankyoreh shows that the Belgian government made numerous attempts to persuade the Korean government to take action on the widespread issue of overseas adoption profiteering, but that these requests were ignored or rebuked by Korean government officials
