Eutelsat agrees GBP 38 mln deal to buy Bigblu Broadband's European satellite operations

Eutelsat has reached an agreement to buy the European satellite broadband activities of Bigblu Broadband, a provider of alternative high-speed internet services for customers in underserved areas. The deal, worth around GBP 38 million, will enable Eutelsat to develop its own retail channel in Europe. This new direct sales channel will complements its existing indirect model based on wholesale agreements with other telecom operators, said the company.
