MANNEQUIN MUSCLES: The new 18-track mixtape from The Pleasure Point is named American Singles, and if it’s not the first burst of blank-out escapism of 2018, I don’t know what is. The entire project swims in a large pool of influences and styles, from mid-tempo 1990s hip hop, indie-pop experimentation, slow-jam R&B and the like.
