Employment situation has continued to improve in Finland

THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE in Finland fell by 0.5 percentage points to 8.0 per cent as the ranks of the unemployed thinned by 14,000 to 222,000 between April 2018 and April 2019, according to Statistics Finland. The Finnish statistical institution reported yesterday that, adjusted for seasonal and random variation, the unemployment rate stood at 6.6 per cent in April.
