Employers Confederation of the Philippines statement on the recent National Capital Region wage hike

THE Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) expressly notes the decision of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region (RTWPB- NCR) to grant an P85 increase in the daily minimum wage. ECOP, through its representatives in the RTWPB-NCR, formally registered its dissent to the wage order, consistent with its mandate to represent the interests of employers, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that make up the majority of the country
