Elderly woman killed in Border Gate tour bus accident

A 73-year-old local woman died Aug. 16 after being struck by a tour bus near the departure area of the Border Gate checkpoint, marking the city’s fifth fatal traffic accident this year. Emergency services received a report at 7:19 a.m. and dispatched firefighters and police to the scene. Police found the victim lying on the left side of the tour bus.
