EKH admin mulls unconventional ways to check petty crime in city, outskirts

SHILLONG, Aug 9: Amid a surge in petty crimes in the city and its outskirts, the East Khasi Hills district administration has begun looking beyond conventional policing to address these crimes, particularly theft, with efforts being considered to tackle some of the social factors contributing to such offences.
