Dutch plan to start new border checks in December criticized by mayors, employers groups

The employers organizations VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland have said that they are concerned about the recently announced new border controls the Netherlands is introducing in a few weeks along its land borders with Germany and Belgium. “The border controls on the German side are already leading to extra costs for companies, and we fear that these will only increase,” the organizations stated in reference to similar checks implemented in Germany.
