Dutch AEX plunges as global markets react to US tariffs

Amsterdam’s blue-chip AEX index plunged 6.25% in early trading on Monday morning as stock markets around the world continued to react to US president Donald Trump’s import tariffs. The FTSE 100 opened down 5.18%, the Paris bourse CAC by 6.98%, and Frankfurt’s DAX fell 7.42%.
