Des Plaines Truck Driver Detained In Russia On Charges Of Terrorism - Journal & Topics Media Group

Des Plaines resident and Russian/United States dual citizen Timur Kishukov, 38, has been stuck in Russian jail since Nov. 18, 2024. He is accused of fighting in Syria against the Russian-backed former government of Bashar al-Assad -- something that his family denies, saying there is plenty of photographic evidence and witness testimony to show that he was in neighboring Turkey at the time with his wife and child, and was there for several months afterwards.
