Depression over Bay of Bengal to trigger heavy rain in south Bengal from Tuesday

Kolkata, Aug 8: A fresh depression intensifying over the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring heavy rainfall across several districts of south Bengal from Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday. According to officials at the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Alipore, a depression is expected to form over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh later in the day, while a cyclonic circulation over the region is also strengthening.
