Goma (ICRC) – Between 6 and 7 August 2026, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) facilitated the transport of 15 people released by the Congolese authorities and their handover to the Congo River Alliance / March 23 Movement (Alliance du Fleuve Congo/Mouvement du 23 mars, AFC/M23). This operation took place under the Doha Mechanism that the parties signed in September 2025.
