Delhi chokes: PMO flags vehicles, 37% non-compliant, calls for EVs

Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister led a meeting urging states to promote electric vehicles and strengthen charging infrastructure as pollution levels increased. Delhi’s excessive vehicle load was highlighted and neighboring states were urged to take action. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways was directed to conduct a study on vehicle pollution.
