Defense says Karmelo Anthony appeal is strengthened despite new trial denial

Though Karmelo Anthony’s motion for a new trial was denied following his conviction in the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf, defense attorneys say newly entered evidence strengthens their position as they prepare to take the appeal to the state appellate court.
