Cyclosporiasis: Think your salad is harmless? Parasite outbreak spreads across Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts & 15 more states; FDA issues warning

Cyclosporiasis outbreak has spread to 20 states across the United States, with health authorities reporting more than 11,000 cases and nearly 500 hospitalisations. The intestinal infection has been linked to processed iceberg lettuce sourced from Mexico, with some of the affected lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants. The recalled lettuce has been removed from the market, while health authorities continue to investigate the outbreak and trace its source.
