Crematoriums: The Changing Face of Balinese Culture

​BeritaBali reports that research undertaken by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) shows that the Balinese are turning in increasing numbers to the use of modern crematoriums instead of the traditional, highly ritualized “Ngaben” funeral processions culminating in the burning of elaborate, magnificent, and costly “bade” (cremation towers).
