Court upholds eminent domain for MPRP in Maryland

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an appeal, upholding a lower court decision that gave an out-of-state developer access to hundreds of private properties along the route of the controversial power line. The developer argues the power line is needed to prevent an approaching power crisis. Opponents say the project is little more than a state-sized extension cable for Northern Virginia data centers.
