Central team to field-study coal mining issue in Oct

SHILLONG, Sep 10: The Centre is likely to send an official team to Meghalaya in October to examine whether scientific coal mining can work on the ground, NPP Sutnga-Saipung legislator Santa Mary Shylla said on Thursday. Shylla spoke after a meeting with Additional Secretary (Mining and Geology) Rupinder Brar, also attended by officials of the Directorate of Mineral Resources and the Law Department.
