Catholic schools superintendent to retire in June

Sister Elizabeth Swartz, of the School Sisters of Notre Dame congregation, will retire June 30 as superintendent of Catholic schools in the El Paso Diocese. She has been in education for 52 years, including being a teacher, principal and associate superintendent. She has been the superintendent in the El Paso diocese for 21 years and a part-time superintendent for the religious schools in San Angelo for 20 years.
