BEDC probes staff electric shock during maintenance‎

BEDC Electricity Plc has begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding an electrical incident involving one of its technical staff in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state.‎‎The staff member, Mr. Akinyemi Bamidele, a technical linesman, reportedly sustained burns to his arm and other parts of his body after receiving an electric shock while carrying out an operational task on the 11kV Basiri Feeder.‎‎The incident was said to have occurred at about 6:20p.m. on Saturday in the Ado-Poly Satellite Campus area of Ado-Ekiti, during a scheduled maintenance work.‎‎In a statement released by BEDC’s Head of Branding and Corporate Communications, Mrs. Eve…
