Amritsar Police Bust Cross-Border Heroin Smuggling Racket

Amritsar Rural Police recovered 10 kg 80 grams of heroin along with a .30 bore pistol and live cartridges from the Lopoke area in a major anti-narcotics operation. Three accused — Sajan Arora, Vijaypal Singh, and Jashanpreet Singh — have been booked, with Jashanpreet Singh arrested. The accused were allegedly in touch with Pakistan-based smugglers, receiving heroin consignments via drones and supplying them across Punjab. Police are investigating the wider network and supply chain.
