America Movil and Telefonica's Telxius announce new Pacific undersea cable

America Movil and Telefonica's infrastructure subsidiary Telxius have announced plans to roll out a new 7,300 km submarine cable along the Pacific coast of Latin America. The two largest telecommunication groups in Latin America said the cable will connect Puerto San Jose (Guatemala) with Valparaiso (Chile) and have additional landing points in Salinas (Ecuador), Lurin (Peru) and Arica (Chile).
