Alibaba Unveils Qwen3.8-Max, Its Most Capable AI Model Yet, Closing In On Moonshot

Alibaba has launched Qwen3.8-Max, its most powerful AI model with 2.4 trillion parameters, intensifying competition in China’s AI race. The model outperforms rival Moonshot’s Kimi K3 on some benchmarks and will be released as an open-weight system. It can process text, images and video, and handle up to 1 million tokens at once.
