„The QR code is also only issued to people who have committed crimes; suspects are not issued with a QR code. Here, too, we can see that the legal framework needs to be expanded. Additional functionalities added to the register of suspects (and defendants – ELTA) and convicted offenders, so that the code is issued as soon as a person is suspected of crimes of this nature,“ – the minister stated on Monday following an inter-agency meeting on measures to respond to cases of sexual violence against children.
