A grandson follows in his hero’s footsteps all the way to Normandy

Eighty years after his grandfather helped liberate Europe, a soldier based in Georgia is preparing to join a massive commemoration of D-Day in June. Maj. Jack Gibson will set foot in France for the first time. And he will do it as a U.S. Army Ranger, an achievement that has helped him understand the extraordinary tests his grandfather endured.
